What does it take to be a United Way Agency?
Must be a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization
Must have been in operation at least two years
Must have an annual audit by an independent CPA
Must have an active, rotating Board of Directors
Must have a charter of incorporation and by-laws
Must have licensing and accreditation
Must have a no fee or sliding fee scale policy
Must have a board adopted policy of non-discrimination for hiring and services. |
